Mingling with the Stars - Zermatt Unplugged

I am back from a life changing adventure. Zermatt Unplugged is a music festival that was initiated by Thomas Sterchi 5 years ago. I was fortunate enough to shoot the official image film for the 5 day event. My gaffer Pietro Bartesaghi and I took the long 7 hours journey on by car. Strange that within little Switzerland you can drive 7 hours to get from door to door. Zermatt is one of the most exclusive mountain villages almost 100% reliable on tourism. The place is truly spectacular and surrounded by enormous mountains. What sets it apart from so many other tourist destinations is the 4.478 meter high Matterhorn mountain. It's probably one of the most iconic mountains in the world and for sure in Switzerland.

I had a super team to my disposal that helped us to work through 46 different musical performances. Names like Ms. Lauryn Hill, Amy MacDonald, Chris de Burgh, Aloe Blacc and many more took the stage as we juggled between interview and live performances. To say that we had our hands full is a little understated, however with the help of Helge von Giese and Rolf Furrer the event ran without any major hiccups. Emma Baumgartner was our location manager and between Nicolas Burgener, Linda Rebert and Christian things happened at the right time and the right place.

There were too many highlights to talk about it all, but remember the interview with Peter Cincotti with his passion for music. The amazing performance of the band Aloise with that magic snow falling interviews. Aloe Blacc with his fantastic backstage shots and James Walsh from England with his super cool attitude.
